Relationships are composed of two endpoints and a connector. The endpoints and the connector can be associated with metatypes from the framework or any UML type and optional stereotype. This lets you create relationships, and their resultant Enterprise Architect quicklinks between any model element types. If the connector is a Connector Type, then the connector will receive the Tags defined in the framework for the Connector Type.
